Every so often your equipment will need a little care to keep it up and running in best conditions. The maintenance schedule below has been outlined by Bobcat as the best times to conduct maintenance and replacements of parts over the lifespan of your machine.

Key Maintenance & Repairs

After every 50 hours using your machine

1. Hydraulic hoses & tubelines - Check for leaks or damage and replace if required.
2. Final drive, transmission (Chaincase) - Check fluid levels and add if required.
3. Parking brake, foot pedals, hand controls & steering levers or joysticks - Check for appropriate operation, repair or adjust if required.
4. Wheel nuts - Tighten if loose to correct torque.
5. Engine/Hydrostatic drive belt - Check for wear or damage & check idler arm stop (do this first at 50 hours then as scheduled).
6. Engine oil & filter - Replace oil and filter (do this first at 50 hours then as scheduled).

After 100 hours of machine up-time

1. Battery - Check any cables, connections and electrolyte levels. Add distilled water if required.
2. Engine oil & filter - Replace oil and filter (conduct every 100 hours when operating in severe conditions).

After 250 hours of machine use or 12 months time

1. Engine/Hydrostatic drive belt - Check for wear or damage. Check idler arm stop.
2. Drive belts - Check condition and replace if required.
3. Bobcat interlock control system (BICS) - Check the functionality of the lift arm bypass control.

Every 500 hours up-time or 12 months of time

1. Fuel filters - Replace filter element.
2. Hydraulic charge filter, hydraulic reservoir breather cap - Replace charge filter & reservoir breather cap.
3. Engine oil & filter - Replace oil and filter.
4. Heater coil & air conditioning evaporator - Clean the heater coil, AC evaporator and clean plenum drains (if equipped).

After every 1,000 hours or every 12 months

1. Hydraulic/Hydrostatic filter - Replace hydraulic/hydrostatic filter.
2. Hydraulic reservoir - Replace fluid,
3. Final drive transmission -Replace the fluid.
4. Engine valves - Adjust valve clearance.

After 1,500 hours of up-time

1. Fuel injectors - Check for proper operation.
2. Exhaust gas recirculation cooler (EGR) - Test the EGR cooler for leaks.
3. Crankcase ventilation filter - Replace crankcase ventilation filter.
4. Positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV) - Check the PCV valve for free movement.

After each 3,000 hours of use

1. Turbocharger - Check for leaks. Tighten bolts, nuts and clamps or replace gaskets, clamps and hoses if required. Check wheel clearance. Replace turbocharger if the wheel touched the housing.
2. Diesel particulate filter (DPF) - Disassemble, clean and reassemble the DPF.
3. Exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) - Perform an EGR actuation test. Clean the gas and coolant passages.
4. Supply pump - Check for proper operation and calibrate.
5. Mass air flow sensor - Check for proper function.

After each 24 months of ownership

1. Coolant - Replace the coolant.
