Electric-Drive Machines

Several machines from Ammann have utilized new battery equipment for fast changing, long lasting power with zero CO2 emissions in operation. The newly released eATR 68 Rammer boasts exceptional speed and control compared to its traditional counterparts. Even with larger machines such as the eAPF 12/40 Plate Compactor, the operational ability is identical to its petrol-powered counterpart, however being electric powered means it’s a capable option for indoor or sound-sensitive jobsites.

When looking at the larger equipment such as the eARX 26-2 Tandem Roller, the electric powered options provide the ability to work in residential or sensitive areas with 46% less noise pollution than ICE alternatives. Additionally due to the large reduction in internal components the maintenance of electric machines can be cheaper and easier in the long term.

HVO – Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil Fuels

Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) is created using waste produced from animal fats and processed vegetable oils. This reduces the production of carbon emissions gas by up to ninety percent in operation for no additional cost. Most of Ammann’s roller & light compaction machines can be altered to run on HVO without major inconvenience or cost.

When burning standard diesel, you produce 2,640kg of greenhouse carbon gas after every 1,000 liters. Comparatively, HVO fuel produces just 260kg of carbon gas per 1,000 liters of fuel burnt.

Compact Equipment Capability

Sometimes the use of a compact machine can be just as valuable as a larger alternative. Ammann’s compact line-up of equipment boasts a strong capability that can get jobs done. Newer machines such as the recently released ARS 30 & 50 drum rollers could deliver high compaction output despite being the most compact rollers in the Ammann line-up. Smaller machines can reduce your carbon footprint with less energy expended for task completion, these newer machines have capabilities beyond older, less efficient machines.
